David Nuss is a drummer, curator, producer, and social activist based in Texas and NYC.  Beginning as a thrash metal drummer in the 80’s who signed a record deal and toured internationally before age 18, Nuss then ventured to NYC to work for the record label Elektra Nonesuch while moonlighting at avant-garde music venues such as the Knitting Factory and Roulette Intermedia.  David played in numerous ensembles while also managing and curating an independent record label and performance space in Harlem, touring internationally, and recording over 100 albums.

Meanwhile David became a father in 1998, earned a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in 2004, and a Chef Certification in 2008, which led him to teaching cooking and gardening classes in schools in NYC and later TX.  Nuss then earned his Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Consultant certifications and taught meditation in Substance Abuse facilities. He currently serves as Managing Director of the Gavri’el Fund.
